We offer non-investment-based financial planning accounts, self-directed investment accounts, and advisory accounts.
A conversation with us can help you discover which type of account will best suit your needs, however, here's a quick look at each type of personal account we offer:
Financial Planning Accounts
This account is for clients who are not yet financially ready to start investing. You'll meet with your Financial Planner regularly to discuss financial goals and progress, with a focus on household budget, debt elimination, personal and emergency savings, and achieving short-term financial objectives.
Self-Directed Investment Account
A self-directed investment account is best for new investors with less than $50,000 in investable assets (including personal retirement, education funds, and personal investments). You'll receive the benefit of working with an investment advisor who will help guide your financial and investing decisions, while retaining the freedom to manage the investment accounts yourself through our custodian's online platform. Your advisor can also offer assistance navigating your client dashboard and assists with the entire account setup and/or transfer process. The self-directed investment account is often paired with financial planning services for clients who are ready to start investing, but still need some help with getting their finances in order.
Advisory Accounts
This account is generally for personal clients who have already achieved their basic financial planning goals. All Advisory Accounts make the most sense for clients with more than $50,000 in investable assets. Your investment advisor will manage your portfolio and you'll determine how active you want to be in the process, but the final decision is always yours to make with every transaction. You'll have access to an online client account portal and dashboard so that you can observe or take an active role in your account management at any time. Your Investment Advisor will make recommendations and execute transactions on your behalf, and will meet with you regularly to ensure that your portfolio's progress is in alignment with your financial and lifestyle goals.
Philanthropic Investment Advisory Accounts
This account is also typically for personal clients who have already achieved their basic financial planning goals. This is an advisory account which makes the most sense for clients with more than $50,000 in investable assets. Philanthropic investment account clients will enjoy the same account features and advisor attention as their regular advisory account counterparts. We provide our philanthropic-minded clients with a variety of options to fulfill their charitable giving, including donor-advised funds, trusts, foundations, and more. Contact us for more information.
Each of our accounts has a different price point; some fees are assessed based on assets managed, while others are flat fees. Some accounts may incur different fees based on the details of their agreement, including additional services ordered.
For a more detailed idea of what fees your account may incur, schedule an appointment and we'll put together a custom estimate for you based on your needs and preferences. There is no commitment required to receive an estimate. We look forward to serving you.
